One of the most important goals of the company’s Food Quality and Safety Policy is to ensure quality and safe manufacturing practices. Food safety is monitored throughout the production chain, from raw materials to the final product. Cooperation with suppliers of goods and ingredients for production is constantly improving. All goods and ingredients for production are sourced exclusively from certified suppliers and undergo quality control. Further controls take place downstream in the production process as before the product is released for distribution, it is subject to a whole system of exit controls.
The company has implemented a safety program in order to minimize – through a set of preventative measures – the risk of intentional damage to the company’s products, and – by extension – to its customers. To ensure quality, safe and healthy production practices, other methods and tools are used, such as HACCP and the system of Good Manufacturing and Sanitary Practice. Great attention is also paid to safety, human health and environmental protection.
In 2007, the company implemented a comprehensive management system for food safety and quality which is in accordance with the EN ISO 22000:2006 standard. In 2014, this standard was extended by adding FSSC 22000 (Food Safety System Certification). In 2012, the company became certified as organic and obtained a licence for the production and trade in organic food.
LYCKEBY CULINAR a.s. is registered in SEDEX (Supplier Ethical Data Exchange) system since 2017. The company is audited on the basis of the ETI Code (the ETI Code was established by the International Labour Organization – ILO on the basis of work procedures) by an independent certification and auditing company; audited areas include: environment, health and safety at work, ethical conduct and labour standards.
